Autobiography of a Community is a program that uses the literary arts to improve the learning attitude, ability, and self-sufficiency of vulnerable youth and adults in our community. At the same time, this project provides an opportunity for college students to apply their knowledge in the “real world” and builds a bridge between their academic world and the greater community, potentially leading them to careers and long-term commitment in community service

The Technical Writing Lab is a computer lab generously funded by the UCF Department of English. The University Writing Center

http://www.uwc.ucf.edu/

The University Writing Center (UWC) provides free writing support to all undergraduates and graduates at the University of Central Florida. We routinely work with everyone including freshmen writing research papers, international students writing lab reports, and honors students writing theses. We also help with out-of-class writing such as scholarship and graduate school application essays.

Trained Writing Center consultants work one-on-one with students. To work with a UWC consultant, we recommend that you make an appointment, either by using our Online Scheduler, stopping by MOD 608, or calling 407-823-2197. Bring any notes or drafts, a copy of the assignment (if any), and any relevant textbook or handbook.

The UWC's website is full of further information on our services and also provides helpful handouts, links to online resources, bios on our consultants, and a Graduate Gateway, specifically designed to help graduate students.
