A native of upstate New York, Susan Hubbard is the author of seven books and winner of two national fiction awards. Her work has been translated and published in more than fifteen countries. She has received teaching awards from Syracuse University, Cornell University, the University of Central Florida, and the South Atlantic Administrators of Departments of English. She has been a resident artist at Yaddo, the Virginia Center for Creative Arts, the Djerassi Resident Artists' Project, and Cill Rialaig. In June 2010 she will teach a fiction workshop at Anam Cara, Cork Co., Ireland.

Research Interests

Writing and reading contemporary fiction; creative writing pedagogy; defining speculative fiction.
