The Charles Brockden Brown Electronic Archive and Scholarly Edition
The Charles Brockden Brown Electronic Archive and Scholarly Edition aims to identify and edit the uncollected letters, pamphlets, and periodical writings of one of America's most ambitious and talented writers during the Jeffersonian era of the early 1800s. Brown's literary and editorial output covers a wide range of cultural topics, including history and geography, natural science, theater, philosophy, law, religion, politics, medicine, national identity, and human sexuality. When complete, six print volumes that meet the Modern Language Association Committee on Scholarly Editions standards will be available through Kent State University Press, and will be searchable alongside Brown's novels at the Institute for Bibliography and Editing at Kent State University.
The Zora Neale Hurston Digital Archive
The Zora Neale Hurston Digital Archive is a repository of biographical, historical, and other contextual materials related to Hurston’s life and works. The site uses a variety of multimedia and seeks to make available various critical and teaching resources so that scholars as well as teachers and students can more effectively understand the cultural and literary richness of Hurston’s numerous writings. The project also seeks to work closely with the city of Eatonville, Florida, and others in the community in preserving Hurston’s legacy.
